About Me & The Site

My name is Nick Houghtaling, and I started Nick Reviews in September 2008 in order to review local bands in my area.  Unfortunately, that didn’t work out as well as I hope and I moved on to writing reviews by established artists.  After ignoring the blog for about a year, I started it up again.  It’s been an off and on thing, but finally, in March 2011, I decided to restart the blog for good.  I’ve gotten some moderate success from it – including some great interviews and reviews – but I’m hoping to become a source for reviews and recommendations and a place of discussion for music lovers.

My goal is for people to take my reviews to heart and regularly check my blog.  I know it’s a tough thing to achieve, but fuck, I enjoy writing whether or not anyone reads it.  Enjoy.
